One day it is massive production cuts that suggest Apple is pulling the plug. The next, detailed specs for an iPhone Air 2, plus plans extending through 2027.
It is like watching Apple play 4D chess while the rest of us are still figuring out checkers, and honestly, I am starting to wonder if different parts of the tech rumor mill are operating in completely separate realities.
The long-term Apple playbook suggests continuation
From years of watching Apple iterate, the iPhone Air 2 scenario fits the pattern. Apple is already planning a third iPhone Air model for 2027, which may feature a larger display. You do not map out a third act if you are ready to drop the series.
The current iPhone Air already flies the premium flag.
